Magickal Manifesting...

There is a ton of info out here in the interests about manifesting. It's overwhelming.

Here's the thing. Manifesting is the act of bringing your desires, feelings and emotions into fruition.

This means that what we feel, we create through our actions, and all the stuff in between. Like the words we use.

Oh, BTW...I love words. They are powerful and magickal and there are just so many to choose from.

You must feel what it is you want in order to properly put it out there so you can create it.

All manifestations start within us.

Our reality that we witness, is the result of this. Some stuff we put into motion when we were kids. Some we put into motion last week. If we choose to only see all the negative in the world, negative will manifest in all the ways. If we choose to see all the good, and there is a lot to witness in the ways of good, good manifests.

As creatures of magickal natures, it is important we work on ourselves. Because all of our magick is literally in us. As human beings we are naturally "flawed", allowing us to dance daily on the spectrum that is life. It's within that dance we learn how to work our magick.

Dance, my love, dance. All is well, all is magickal. So just dance.

There's a Shit Ton of Magick in Our Words...

Casting a spell is the act of of putting our intentions and desires out into the world to manifest. We do this mostly with words.

Words are descriptive sounds of our feelings and emotions. Our feelings and emotions are the fuel to our manifestations. Our lives are series of manifestations playing out.

The words we say. Think. Write. Sing. They all hold power. Sure, some don't hold much, because we don't have a whole lot of belief behind them. Like our lack of true belief in ourselves, leading to us holding ourselves back. Then there's the ones that are fueled by anger and it seems we manifest those quickly. Anger is powerful. Self doubt is powerful. So is self love. Self acceptance. Joyfulness. We just need to allow ourselves to wholeheartedly experience these emotions.

As witches, and it doesn't matter what kind of witch, we are constantly working on being in balance with the elements. We don't spend nearly enough time balancing our thoughts and words. We focus on the negative energy in the world, getting sucked in to believing we need to carry all these burdens for others. We then throw ourselves off kilter and begin to get sucked into the muck of yuck.

FYI: all those burdens aren't for you or for you to carry.

Put. Them. Down. Right there. Seriously.

Leave them. They aren't yours.

So when someone says get grounded, it isn't about only putting your bare feet on earth and hugging a tree. It's about doing the physical grounding. But also grounding your focus. Feel your experience. Put down the bullshit that isn't yours and leave it. You are doing no one any favors crushing yourself under the weight of all that.

Or go ahead and drag it some more. It really is your choice.

Remember this. Spelling is the act of putting letters together to make words to use to verbally describe what you are feeling and experiencing. You cast a spell with every single word, spoken, sung, written and thought.

So the real question isn't "am I casting this circle correctly" or "am I using the right herbs"...

The real question is "is what I am casting what I want to cast? Is what I am verbalizing in this spell, what I actually want to manifest and create? Or am I having a moment and I am not in alignment to my truest desire right now?"

Yes. We hold that much power. First we need to recognize that and second, put it into practice so we can strengthen ourselves, balance ourselves, and create the life we all keep saying we want.

We didn't have a say in the last couple hundred years of bullshit. But as aware human beings, we are here to be responsible for the changes and shifts happening. Those shifts? They start in each one of us.

Be your own unique form of magick and use your words for the massive power source they are.

Eclectic Crystal Gathering...

I absolutely adore the moon. I love astrology, human design, candles, crystals and incense. I use my tarot decks daily. My house always smells like incense and is super chill. I have basically turned my whole house into one big altar.

When I first began really getting serious about my practice, I started with crystals. I had always been drawn to stones as a kid. I knew I needed to get grounded so I could navigate all the stress I was going through as I closed an almost decade long chapter.

I was expecting to find a crystal that would solve that. The funny thing that I didn't realize, crystals and stones bring to the forefront that which is blocking you and makes you confront it.

Some of the pretties bring those things gently and block out the energies we aren't ready to handle. Some, like Moldavite, will bring ALL THE THINGS to the forefront that needs to be handled, at the same time. It's important we choose our crystals wisely. I only go with the ones that call out to me.

In my experience, a few of the gentler stones are rose quartz, amethyst and red jasper. My first grounding stones were all dark red or black.

I still go to my black stones for protection and grounded calm. Black Tourmaline is a big favorite here.

New to the practice? Unsure how to decide what crystals you want or need? I'll share how I started and still do it.

At the time leading up to the New Moon, I sit down with a notebook and light a candle. I do some deep breathing and clear my energy the best I can. Then I take notice where I feel off in my body and write it down. I describe it in detail. I do this for all the spots.

Then I look at what I wrote down. Is there a common theme? I find the theme and write it down. That's the energy I need to work on this moon cycle.

Knowing the energy I want to work on is far easier to match than just thinking I had like 25 energies that needed to be balanced. The majority of the time, when we work on grounding, we'll notice many of the other energies we believed were problematic leaving.

I head to a witchy store with this and set my intention before I walk in. "I am open to receiving information from my guides as to what I need to balance the _________ energy. No other energy may enter". Then I walk around the store and get what calls out. Even if it doesn't make logical sense, I trust there's a reason.

This is what works for me. It helps me to build intuition muscles, strengthens my meditation practice, ny self trust, my spiritual trust, my knowledge about crystals and stones (I research them after I buy them) and it exercises my conscious awareness.

What are your go to grounding crystals? Do you know what you want and set out to get it or do you acquire your crystals intuitively? Please share. I love learning about the different ways we practice.

Out of the broom closet and onto my path...

Why do I choose to live off grid is the top question I get when I tell people how we choose to exist.

My list of reasons is long. My main reason is blissful solitude. This has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. It's so quiet, requires very conscious thinking and allows me to be connected to the universe, right here, right now without leaving massive negative impacts on the planet. It truly is blissful.

I've never been one to fit in the box. I tried. I tried to stuff myself into the toxic box of living the dream. Then I woke up one day and had simply had enough of living like a door mat, fighting severe anxiety and depression. I wanted to fully experience living, my way.

One could say I began my spiritual awakening that day. That was 13 years ago, before it was TikTok cool.

This whole awakening has not been all roses and glitter. Quite the opposite actually. But it has been eye opening, heart opening, and life changing.

My witchy practice is very...eclectic. What resonates is what I follow. My entire life has been a series of various experiences, so why would my practice be any different?

Sure, I live next to a swamp, with my husband, 5 chihuahuas and Auggie the cat. Sure, I'm probably the crazy lady to those around us. Sure, I light fires in my firepit and dump large quantities of incense on them as the wind blows the incense smoke across the swamp, with the intention of balancing the energies. Sure I plan pretty much everything I do around the moon cycles.

I mean, come on, don't all witches do that?

However, my practice is my own, just as yours is your own. We can practice as we feel fits, and respect how others practice, even when it isn't the sane as what we do.

I just wanted to pop on before I go get firewood and say "Hey!" and welcome you to my blog. I'll share parts of my practice and parts of my journey with you and all I ask is that you take what resonates, leave what doesn't. We are all here to experience this living thing. In my little corner, I ask we follow the golden rule. There's enough hate out there, let's keep it pleasant in here.

Can we ditch the baby witch label, please?

Words matter. Especially for witches. We speak, and as a result, we create! The term baby witchy drives me crazy. It screws with our heads. ...
